Swanky. Burberry has streamed its Spring/Summer 2011 menswear Milan show for Prorsum, its high-end line, on Saturday. The checkered brand has made it possible for viewers to click and discuss in real time the outfits sported on stage by the models, both via Facebook and Twitter, thanks to a chat widget. These selected outfits, out of the total 27 presented, then were collected in a lookbook that viewers could then flick through and buy directly from. This purchasing channel is open until June 27th (fashionistas, make haste!) and deliveries are scheduled for within 6 to 8 weeks. Marketers at Burberry's made the feed embeddable for anyone to host but the lookbook and purchase channel are solely accessible via the company's website directly. No doubt this move will have (and still will do until June 27th) driven massive traffic to the website, and likely boosted both lead generation and conversion rates. ... Or has it? Here's the stream, for your eyes only... almost. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHINm3y26B8&hl=fr_FR&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x2b405b&color2=0x6b8ab6&hd=1]
